Welcome to Afterlight & Co.! The terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Afterlight & Co. Afterlight & Co. operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"). Afterlight & Co. is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
The terms and conditions below, together with any policies referenced herein (these "Terms of Service" or "Terms"), describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Services.

We make every effort to accurately represent our products and services. However, colors or product appearance may differ from how they appear on your screen due to the device, display, or settings you use.
Because Afterlight & Co. boxes contain individually selected pre-loved books and curated items, individual boxes may naturally vary in appearance and contents as described on the applicable product page.
Pre-loved books may show gentle signs of previous ownership, including minor cover wear, page aging, or other small imperfections. These characteristics are part of the nature of a pre-loved book and are not considered damage.
We carefully inspect books and do not intentionally include books with significant damage, missing pages, excessive writing, strong odors, mold, or other conditions that would interfere with the reading experience.
All product descriptions are subject to change at any time without notice at our discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and may limit quantities offered to any person, geographic region, or jurisdiction.
SECTION 3 - ORDERS
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. Afterlight & Co. reserves the right to accept or decline an order for any lawful reason at its discretion. Your order is not accepted until Afterlight & Co. confirms acceptance and payment has been successfully processed.
Please review your order carefully before submitting it.
Orders may be canceled before we begin curating and preparing your box. Once curation or order preparation has begun, the order can no longer be canceled.
If we do not accept, make a change to, or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you using the email address, billing address, and/or phone number provided with the order.
Purchases are subject to our Return and Refund Policy, available on our website.
You represent and warrant that your purchases are for your own personal or household use and not for commercial resale or export.
SECTION 4 - PRICES AND BILLING
Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product or service will be the price in effect when the order is placed and will be shown in your order confirmation.
Unless otherwise stated, posted prices do not include applicable taxes. Shipping charges, when applicable, will be disclosed before checkout. Afterlight & Co. currently offers free standard shipping on U.S. orders as described in our Shipping Policy.
We may occasionally offer promotions that are governed by separate terms and conditions. If there is a conflict between promotional terms and these Terms, the promotional terms will govern.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase, payment, and account information for purchases made through our store.
You represent and warrant that payment information you provide is true, correct, and complete; that you are authorized to use the payment method provided; and that charges incurred will be honored by your payment provider.
SECTION 5 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Each Afterlight & Co. box is individually curated and prepared. Current processing times, estimated delivery times, shipping areas, and other shipping information are described in our Shipping Policy.
All delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Carrier delays caused by weather, holidays, or other circumstances outside our control may affect delivery.
If a package arrives damaged, is marked delivered but cannot be located, or appears to be lost in transit, please contact us at afterlightandco@gmail.com with your order number and details about the issue. We will review the situation and work with you and the carrier, when applicable, to determine an appropriate resolution.
SECTION 6 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Our Services, including trademarks, branding, text, displays, images, graphics, product materials, video, audio, designs, selection, and arrangement, are owned by Afterlight & Co., its affiliates, or licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms permit you to use the Services for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit material from the Services without prior written consent, except as otherwise permitted by law.
Afterlight & Co.'s names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans may not be used without prior written permission. Shopify's name, logo, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Shopify. Other names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

You may be provided with access to tools offered by third parties as part of the Services that we do not monitor or control.

Afterlight & Co. is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, sales and purchases made through our store are made directly with Afterlight & Co.
By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales between you and Afterlight & Co., including injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you release Shopify and its affiliates from claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to purchases and transactions with Afterlight & Co.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT USE OF THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AFTERLIGHT & CO., ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH THE SERVICES.
NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED.
